About Us
Founded in 1962, PFP & Associates is a professional sales agency
covering California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico & Hawaii.
We have experience in all channels of distribution within the Sporting
Goods, Outdoor & Footwear markets. With 10 sales reps & 2 tech reps in the field, we can cover the territory better than the "one man band" operations.
With the cost of travel & traffic patterns that exist today, we
maximize the frequency of sales & service calls for our factories.
We are service intensive, count & fill specialists.
Our corporate office & warehouse is located in Coto de Caza, California. We have 2000 square feet of office & storage space for point of sale materials and samples. We are set up to do telemarketing & order tracking where needed.
Our Staff
Scott Peckham: President and Agency owner. Scott graduated from UCLA & has been with PFP since 1982. Responsible for all accounts & lines handled by the agency as well as agency operations.
Brad Sanders: Vice President. Brad Sanders began working with PFP in 1990. A graduate of Golden West College, Brad handles major & specialty account in Southern California & Las Vegas. Major accounts include Zappos, Quartermaster, The Walking Company & Boot World.
John Williams:
Vice President. John joined PFP in 1996 and is a graduate of Cal State Stanislaus. John handles major and specialty accounts in Northern California & the Tahoe/Reno areas. John sells to West Marine, Footwear Etc., Travelsmith and many specialty outdoor and footwear retailers.
Bill Price:
Bill joined PFP in 1987. Bill graduated from Cal State San Francisco
and sells major accounts such as Fry's Electronics, Zappos, Red Envelope & The
North Face. Bill is also our Victorinox specialist in Northern California
while handling many key specialty retailers in the Bay Area.
Todd Putnam: Todd joined PFP in 2001. Todd attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix & has a strong retail background with Sport Chalet. Todd is our Victorinox specialist in Southern California and also represents other agency lines in Southern California.
Brian Buckley: Brian is new to PFP joining us in 2010. Brian graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and will represent several of our factories in Colorado, Utah & New Mexico.
Jeff Krahenbuhl: Jeff began working with PFP in 2012, representing Victorinox & Fenix in Washington and Oregon. Jeff lives in Seattle.
Stan Smith: New for 2012, Stan lives in Missoula, Montana and represents Victorinox and Fenix lines for Idaho & Montana. Stan is an industry veteran and we've worked together on various lines over the years.
Doug Tweedie: New for 2012, Doug represents Victorinox & Fenix for Alaska. With over 30 years in the outdoor industry, Doug is a great asset to our team.
Beau Shrum: Beau Shrum, the owner of Elevated Sales, has represented Victorinox & Fenix in 7 Western States since 2002. In 2012, Elevated & PFP merged, allowing Beau to focus his time & energy driving the Amazon & REI businesses for Victorinox & Fenix. Beau's knowledge of the territory & accounts are vital to PFP, heading into the future.
Rhoda Peckham: Rhoda is our office manager responsible for
commissions, accounts receivable, accounts payable & all corporate accounting.
Our History
Hal Peters founded our agency in 1962, when he became the manufacturer's representative for Wigwam Mills & Champion Sport Gloves for California, Arizona & Nevada. These original relationships lasted for 27 years and illustrate our longevity & consistency. Our agency prides itself on bringing ideas & industry insight to it's factories & retailers which lead to profitable long term relationships. Hal laid the foundation of integrity & trust that continue today.
Steve Fate began his career in 1976 & quickly became a key player & driving force for the agency. Steve's aggressive nature & business savy were the perfect compliments to Hal's organized efficiency. Steve took over as President of the agency in 1987 and the agency grew in size & stature representing Vuarnet sunglasses & later on Ugg footwear in the 80's & 90's. Steve hired some of the key reps that are still with PFP today.
Scott Peckham started as a sales rep in 1982 & became the Vice President in 1989. In 2001, Scott became a partner & took sole ownership of the agency in 2005. The lessons learned from Hal & Steve are still used daily in how the agency is run & grows into the 21st Century.
